This course is perfect for a quick, yet information dense course to get your mindset wrapped around travel in avalanche terrain, decision making and risk management early in the season.

We cover everything you need and nothing you don’t, perfect for both experienced and novice backcountry travelers. Topics covered include: Rescue, Tour Planning, Terrain Management, Weather and Snow Factors, Teamwork and Communication. Time will be spent ¼ classroom and ¾ field so be prepared to be outside.

Classroom will be Kings Beach CA, and field time in the Castle peak area. Once you sign up you will get an information packet with everything needed!
